Golden Sands is a small lodge and caravan park in Brean, Somerset with footpath access to the famous five mile sandy beach. The park is ideally suited to couples or families that are looking for a bucket and spade holiday or just a quieter slower paced break.
Access to the beach is via a footpath through the sand dunes which from the top of the dunes boasts fantastic views of Brean Down and the Bristol Channel.
Golden Sands has a range of accommodation to cater for all your holiday needs; there are 10 luxury lodges on one side of the park with either 2 or 3 bedrooms .The two western facing lodges at the top of the park boast your own private Jacuzzi and fantastic views across the beach and out towards the South Wales coastline. All of the lodges have parking spaces directly outside and have fences gardens and veranda seating areas. Unfortunately pets are not allowed in there units.
The caravans are mostly two bedroom and are in a confined area with a small parking space and a minimal garden; they are ideally suited for couples or small families. All the caravans are fitted with modern appliances and pets are welcome in these units at a small extra charge.
Golden Sands is situated 750 metres from Brean Leisure Park and just over a mile from Holiday Resort Unity, discounts are available to Golden Sands guests at these attractions. Golden Sands is also about 400 metres from the excellent Big Al’s Diner which offers a wide range of food and drink for the whole family.
There is a small laundry on the park and a telephone in the reception building to contact both Brean Leisure Park and Holiday Resort Unity. There is also a resident warden who will look after any requirements you may have and a bus stop close to the park entrance if you want to venture further a field. The Lodges are all available for holidays throughout the year; however the caravans are only available from Easter until November.
Burnham-on-Sea is about 5 miles away and Weston Super Mare just 9 miles.
The beach adjoining the park is car free and there is horse and pony riding
available. The beach is tidal but safe and you can usually swim everyday.
